Text to PDF features
Searchable output
The PDF contains real text, not a picture of it, so you can search it and copy from it.
Nothing runs off the page
Lines wrap between words. Very long words and web addresses are split so they don’t spill past the margin.
Courier for code and logs
The monospaced font keeps columns lined up, which is what you want for code or log files.
Page breaks from text files
If your file contains form-feed characters (some older software adds them), each one starts a new page, as it would when printed.
Which characters work
Text to PDF uses the fonts built into the PDF format. They handle English and Western European languages, including accents, £ and €, and curly quotes. Polish, Greek, Arabic or Chinese text needs fonts embedded in the file, which this tool doesn’t do yet. For those, paste your text into HTML to PDF; it uses your browser’s fonts and copes with any language.
Privacy and security
Your text is laid out and turned into a PDF on your device. It isn’t uploaded or stored, which is worth knowing if you’re converting notes, minutes or anything personal.
