PDF to PNG features
No compression artefacts
PNG stores every pixel exactly, so small print and thin lines don’t get the fuzzy edges JPG can leave.
Transparent background option
Handy for logos, signatures and diagrams you want to put on a coloured slide.
Print resolution
At 300 DPI an A4 page comes out at about 2,480 × 3,508 pixels.
PNG is the right choice when…
…the page is mostly text, charts, icons or line drawings. For photos and scans PNG files get large without looking any better, so PDF to JPG is the better pick there.
About the transparency option: it only shows where the page has nothing drawn on it. Plenty of PDFs paint a white rectangle behind everything, and in that case the background stays white whatever you tick.
Privacy and security
Pages are drawn and saved on your device. Unpublished slides and drawings don’t get uploaded anywhere.

PDF to PNG FAQs
Why are my PNG files so big?
PNG doesn’t throw any detail away. A photo-heavy page at 300 DPI can easily be several megabytes. Use 150 DPI, or JPG for photo pages.
I ticked transparent but the background is still white
The page itself contains a white shape behind the content, which is common in PDFs from design and office apps.
Can I turn the PNGs back into a PDF?
Yes, with PNG to PDF.
